So, this is my first blog and my first blog post EVER! And I'm writing it while procrastinating writing my portfolio paper for my study abroad experience. But! Not the point.
The point is that this is my English blog for all of my friends and family at home to reference to see what I and mes amies (Grace and Phoebe, who are journeying to France alongside of me!) are up to!
Finals week is upon us at Washington College, and my visa appointment is Tuesday, and then the holidays- so after the holidays will probably be my next post, focusing on packing and preparing and the terrifying excitement that awaits me in France.
For those of you who don't know, I will be in a town/city/VILLE called Arras, which is located north-east of Paris and really close to Lille and Belgium- here's a map pointing it out:
My university is called Université d'Artois, and as of right now I'll be taking (more) French Literature classes, but that is still up in the air due to the lack of rigid organization that France applies to such things, which we plan wayyy ahead of (at Washington College we register for classes two months in advance in for the Spring semester and five months before the start of the Fall semester).
Well, now that I feel less stressed about writing/how to write this first entry, I think I've covered everything that I wanted to!
